21. An Intelligent Rules-Based Data Stream Processor
Investigator(s): Mike Moulton

This project is concerned with the development of an Intelligent Data-Stream processor simulation tool that can be used to monitor traffic on a network and take appropriate action/s dependent upon the data encountered. The simulator will only accept valid and legal transactions and will respond with an appropriate set of output transactions as determined by the particular communications protocol in question. The process logic of the simulator is entirely rules-based, allowing quick and easy updates to the system.
